Funny Dating Stories...
oh yeah, we've all got em!

Sometimes being single sucks! Dealing with loneliness can be tough especially when you just have one of those days where you feel like everyone else in the world has someone but you. Well of course that’s not reality and I hope you haven’t made it your reality because the truth of the matter is everyone has bad days. However, one thing that always seems to cheer me up when I’m down is a good laugh.

Listening to a comedian or watching a funny movie will usually do the trick. But every now and then when I’m feeling down about singleness I have to laugh at myself and be thankful I’m not where I use to be.

You see we tend to glamorize dating and relationships as if they are always great, but truth be told there are some that you could not pay me to repeat. 

I’ve had some bad dates and some have been quite amusing (now that I look back on them). So even though you may not have a date today, know that your blessing is on the way and be thankful you’re not enduring one of these dates.

Laughter is great medicine so to all of you who are feeling down, enjoy a few laughs on me…no charge!  And yes these are true stories…I can’t make this stuff up!

• First date with a guy and we decided to go to dinner. Upon picking me up, he commented that I had a nice home and that he could see himself living there (excuse me?). We proceeded to dinner and afterwards, he informed me that he forgot his wallet and was unable to pay for dinner. Needless to say that was our first and last date.

• Guy comes to pick me up for our date on a motorcycle. I expressed my reservations about riding on the motorcycle and he proceeded to tell me that I could wear the helmet (I’m sorry, there’s only one helmet?). We went back and forth for a few minutes and then I offered to drive. He declined the offer and went on and on about how I needed to try new things and loosen up. We had become friends prior to this fiasco so at the end of the day we just decided to drive to our date separately. Yes, he on the motorcycle with me following behind him in my car. We decided we would be better off as friends and still laugh about this botched date to this day.

• On a date with a guy and as we are driving back from our date his car stops. Thankfully he was able to maneuver it over to the side of the road to get us out of harm’s way. After popping the hood and taking some time to look intently at the inner workings of his vehicle, he comes back to the car to tell me that he has no idea what is wrong. He calls for help and upon arrival the car is diagnosed as being OUT OF GAS! Believe it or not that wasn’t our last date, but it was the beginning of the end of our relationship. Things just seemed to keep going downhill from there.
