Are You Being Idle?

Almost all of my friends are either married, divorced, or widowed and I just wanted something. You know they say "it's better to have a piece of man than no man at all". Well that was what I was living. I was dealing with someone who was suppose to be a friend but had no respect for our friendship. He had gone through the death of his grandmother, mother, wife, and brother. I was there for him through the last two the best I could be. This is the man I wanted to someday marry. But he never wanted to marry again and built a wall between us. I prayed for him and one day I asked to pray with him and he said "I don't let everyone pray for me." Well one day, we had a bad day and I was really tired of being mistreated and told him how I felt. He told me don't call him to check on him only call if I needed him for something. At that moment, my eyes were opened. I realized why God had put me on this earth, not for my fleshly desires but to do his will and God began to deal with me. My church has just came off a 3 day prayer revival and fast and it literally felt like God breathe new life into my body and I have been a different person. At that point I knew that this was God's world and he put me here to do his will and not mine. I am here to bring people to him and not to compromise being in their world. I should be in the world but not of the world. As a single woman with no kids, I realized I was sitting idle waiting for something to happen. At that point, I realized I finally started living. I became more active in church and now God is trusting me to do more things for him. But I had to surround myself with the right type of people, not just church people but God-fearing people. I received a different type of peace and other people can notice a change in me and that's the best thing in the world. Not just saying you are saved but when men and women can actually see that you are doing God's will and not your own. I realized that my job as a single person on this earth had not been fulfilled until I began to fulfill my role in singleness, then God will trust me with a God-fearing companion. Know your role in God and work your role and watch God move.
