Hello and thank you for visiting! My name is Lisa and I’m the Christian single woman behind the scenes.  I created this website to share helpful information I’ve gained over the years that has helped to strengthen my Christian walk.

After many discussions with my single friends, it was evident that there are few resources that help the Christian single woman develop and focus on various aspects of her life beyond dating. My goal is to provide practical information about Christian living that single women can apply to their lives as well as encourage them.

From Misery to Ministry

I so wanted to be married and couldn’t understand how a good and loving God could instruct me so clearly to end this relationship. I desperately wanted to be obedient so I ended the relationship and thought surely God would honor my faithfulness and send the ‘One’ He had for me. However, there seemed to have been no ram in the bush for me. I couldn’t understand how obeying God could end in so much heartache and pain.

However, during these years that God has “robbed” me of marriage, He has given me so much more. I like Job can say that while I knew about God before, I now know Him for myself. God never wastes a hurt and He has used the trials of singleness to draw me closer to Him and I wouldn’t trade anything for the journey.

God has taught me more about Him, myself and marriage. Truly He has turned my misery into ministry and now He allows me to use my experiences to bless others. May you benefit greatly from the lessons I’ve learned.

My Beliefs

By no means am I a Bible scholar, but I do love Christ with my whole heart and strive to live a life that’s pleasing to Him daily. I became a Christian at an early age and have attended church my whole life, but it was not until I was an adult and living on my own that I developed a relationship with Christ.

• I believe in the Trinity - God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit in One
• I believe the Bible is true in its entirety and was inspired by God
• I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead to redeem me

The Source of My Knowledge

I am pictured alone above, but I don’t stand alone. There are numerous people (too many to count) standing with me that have contributed (and many who continue to contribute) to my spiritual growth. From grandparents to pastors from friends to mentors, from authors to musicians, they’ve all played a vital role.

Some I’ve known personally and they’ve taken time to explain biblical truths to me and answer questions. But most importantly I thank them for the examples they’ve lived before me. Others I’ve never met, but their words via books, sermons, songs, etc. have ministered to me and also contributed to my spiritual growth. I am and will be forever grateful for all that each has taught me.

Most of all, I am thankful to God for not only choosing to have a relationship with me, but choosing to use me in His service and reveal Himself to me through His Word. Truly God uses me, despite me. Just like you, I don’t always get it right but I’m so thankful that I serve a forgiving Father who chooses to love me anyway, just as I am and loves me enough not to allow me to stay as I am.

Knowing fully that He does not need to use me to reach others for Him, I am honored, delighted and humbled by the opportunity to share truths and insights I’ve learned about being a Christian single woman with each of you.

This Website

Another insight I’d like to share with each of you is SBI! This website was built using Site Build It! I knew very little about building a website when I started. However, I knew I loved giving and sharing with others and one of my spiritual gifts had been identified as teaching.

While I was content working in ministry at my church and being involved in various volunteer activities, God soon showed me how building a website could bridge the path to my goal to be in full-time ministry.

A wonderful friend with a proven track record introduced me to SBI! and I’ll admit it has been a lot of work, but it has also been an exciting joy to build and do something I absolutely love!
